CBIC says, has sanctioned GST refund claims worth Rs 11,052 crore in last 47 days


The Central Board of Indirect Taxes (CBIC) said that it has sanctioned GST refund claims worth Rs 11,052 crore in last 47 days.

In a tweet, the CBIC said, it is committed to ensuring liquidity to GST tax payers especially MSME sectors during the lockdown.

CBIC further said, 29,230 refund claims amounting to Rs 11,052 crore were disposed of between 8th of April to 24th of May.

The Finance Ministry had on 8th of April said, in order to provide relief during COVID-19, it has been decided to issue all pending GST and custom refunds which would benefit around one lakh business entities, including MSMEs.

The domestic equity benchmark today reported a decline of around three and a half percent of the expansion of lockdowns in the country and the growing number of corona viruses worldwide. The local stock market index also declined due to positive global cues.

The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex fell 1,069 points or 3.44 percent to 30,029 points. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange closed 314 points down 3.43 percent at 8,823 points.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has urged the industry to plan to pursue labor with a more professional approach and to engage more and more in skills.

In a conversation with the Confederation of Indian Industry, CII, through video conferencing, Ms. Sitharaman stressed that the government fully and comprehensively trusts the industry.

He said, the industry needs to reset its relations with workers and plan labor including unskilled labor.

In interbank foreign exchange, the rupee opened at 75.70, then gained ground to touch 75.67, also registering a rise of 13 paise from its previous price.

The rupee had closed at 75.80 against the US dollar yesterday.

On the positive note of the domestic stock, the benchmark Sensex was up by 167 points at 30,986 and the Nifty was up by 57 points at 9,124.

Brent crude futures, the global oil benchmark, rose 1.40 percent to US $ 36.25 a barrel.

प्रधान मंत्री गरीब कल्याण योजना के तहत 33 करोड़ से अधिक गरीबों को मिली 31,235 करोड़ रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता

प्रधान मंत्री गरीब कल्याण योजना के तहत 33 करोड़ से अधिक गरीबों को सीधे 31 हजार 235 करोड़ रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता दी गई है। पैकेज की घोषणा वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने 26 मार्च को COVID -19 के कारण गरीबों को तालाबंदी के प्रभाव से बचाने के लिए की थी। पैकेज के हिस्से के रूप में, सरकार ने महिलाओं और गरीब वरिष्ठ नागरिकों और किसानों को मुफ्त अनाज और नकद भुगतान की घोषणा की।

20.05 करोड़ महिला जन धन खाता धारकों को 10 हजार करोड़ रुपये से ज्यादा का संवितरित किया गया है। कुल 1,405 करोड़ रुपये लगभग 2.82 करोड़ वृद्धों, विधवाओं और विकलांग व्यक्तियों को वितरित किए गए हैं। PM-KISAN की पहली किस्त के तहत, 16,146 करोड़ रुपये की राशि आठ करोड़ किसानों को हस्तांतरित की गई है।

प्रधानमंत्री गरीब कल्याण योजना के तहत 39.27 करोड़ लाभार्थियों को खाद्यान्न का मुफ्त राशन वितरित किया गया है। सभी में, 2.66 करोड़ मुफ्त उज्ज्वला सिलेंडर प्रधानमंत्री उज्ज्वला योजना के तहत वितरित किए गए हैं।
